To get started, click the «Start»<\/strong><\/span> box at the bottom left of your desktop<\/p>\n

Type «gpedit.msc»<\/strong><\/span> and select «gpedit»<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

When the command is executed, a window called «Local Group Policy Editor»<\/strong><\/span> will open<\/p>\n

Go to the «Computer Configuration»<\/strong><\/span> section, then «Administrative Templates»<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We change the items, in the «NtpServer»<\/strong><\/span> field we specify the IP address of the NTP server or its DNS name, for example «pool1.ntp.od.ua»<\/strong><\/span>, or any other server from our list, and through which a special server flag is specified, in in this case it is «0x9»<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In the «Type»<\/strong><\/span> field, indicate that we will use the «NTP»<\/strong><\/span> protocol<\/p>\n

In the «SpecialPollInterval»<\/strong><\/span> field, we specify «900»<\/strong><\/span> seconds, this is the server polling interval<\/p>\n

Save by pressing the «OK»<\/strong><\/span> button<\/p>\n

Close the «Local Group Policy Editor»<\/strong><\/span> window<\/p>\n

The next stage is setting up the time synchronization service<\/p>\n

Write the «cmd»<\/strong><\/span> command<\/p>\n

Where «w32tm»<\/strong><\/span> is a time service management tool, «stripchart»<\/strong><\/span> displays a graph with statistics of clock deviations, «computer:pool1.ntp.od.ua»<\/strong><\/span> is a remote NTP server with which we compare the local clock, and finally the argument «samples:3»<\/strong><\/span> means to build graph of only 3 connections<\/p>\n

This graph shows that at 2:41:31 the first of three test connections was made to an external NTP server, the result showed a response delay from the server of +00.0112548 seconds and a time difference of +00.0029020 seconds<\/p>\n
